Happy Easter My Lovelies!

The time has finally come! Easter has arrived!

Jesus is the reason for the season!

It's my first easter as a baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and lemme tell ya. It was definitely one that is going to be remember, just because it was so different than all of he easters I have had in the past! The same traditions were in place, with the egg hunting & dyeing, the easter baskets, the family lunch, everything. It was a little bit strange because it was the first one without my real family, but it was still fun and lovely nonetheless! The really different part of my day, however, was waking up in the morning and going to church. It was such a wonderful time. Learning about the meaning of Easter and furthering my knowledge of Christ and his Atonement was the best way I could possibly imagine to spend my Sunday. I felt the Spirit so strongly and it really made my Sunday and my Easter so much more meaningful. Now that I have a greater knowledge of the meaning of Easter, I appreciate it so much more. I didn't even care bout the easter baskets and candy and all of that now that I know. Ahhh I pray that everyone felt the Spirit today and was really celebrating the meaning of Easter and not the superficial traditions it's associated with. :)

So anyways!

Ahhh man okay. So yesterday I got the SD card back from my lovely Connor, and it was the BEST. He sent me tons of pictures along with 6 videos... one of them an "instructional" video on "how to make videos for your missionary" (which was hilarious, btw) and the others were him playing the guitar and singing all of "our songs" to me! What could possibly be more perfect than that!?

Lemme tell ya...

NOTHING!

Not to mention he is absolutely adorable.
Cue insert pictures here:

Holy crap how cute is he!

I am so madly in love with him! I'm so glad that things between us have remained so perfect and stable since he left. I mean, obviously not everything will always be perfect. But we have such good communication and even when we don't write each other all the time, we're still so sure of our love for each other. That's how I know it's real, folks!

I wrote him a 5 page letter today and mailed it off in this tiny envelope with a thousand layers of tape on it. It's going to be impossible to open, but hey, the reward is a 5 page letter from me, sooo! Hahah. It's really quite sad how I don't write him very often. I do feel bad... kind of. But he sucks at writing me, too, so that's my excuse! He's busy being a missionary and I'm busy living my life! That's my biggest advice to you all though, especially the girls who are new to waiting! The biggest thing that has kept me happy and fine this whole time, is keeping busy. And by keeping busy I mean: school, work, friends, some dating, journaling, ANYTHING. I've set so many goals for myself now that I'm worried that he's going to come home before I can finish all of them! I'm already freaking out because in just a year and a few months he's going to be back here! Time really does fly if you keep yourself busy and focus on YOU instead of him. He should be putting his 100% into his mission and you should be putting 100% into building yourself into the woman you're destined to be. Do things for yourself. Don't stress about writing him all the time. If your relationship is really right, then you won't HAVE to be constantly writing to keep it that way. It'll all work out! Put your faith and life into Heavenly Father's hands, and he will give you the most perfect fairytale eternity that you could ever wish for.

It. Will. All. Be. Okay.

Just tell yourselves that every time things seem to be falling apart! There are no trials that Heavenly Father puts us through unless he KNOWS that we can make it past them. They are given to us to strengthen us and build our testimonies. So have faith in him and all will work out.

:)

That's my little rant novel fest of the night about waiting!

Annnnnd now I have to go have "cheesy mormon movie night" with my sister and our friends!

Toodles! <3
