Sunday!

Good Sunday day to you all! 

I'm hoping that all of you have been watching General Conference like I have this morning, because it's been AMAZING. I think it's so incredible how prayers can be answered through the talks given. I felt like so much of the talks today applied and related to my life.

One of the really big talks that affected me was the one that President Uchtdorf gave about having a loving heart to all, even thine enemies. It really hit me hard because lately in the MG group that I'm a part of, I've felt like so much gossip and drama has been taking over and making it impossible for the Spirit to be present. I think that people get really caught up in things and forget to be nice to one another and be Christ-like. I know I've gossiped before and held grudges and basically all of the things that he asked about... and those of you who say that you haven't, you're probably lying to yourselves. None of us are perfect people, but that's why we have this mortal life and all of these trials that we are being given, so that we can become perfect like our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. We have Christ's example to follow, and we need to remember that. We can't feel the Spirit and have that guidance in our lives if we are acting unrighteously. I don't know, it just really hit me hard and made me stop and think about things. I'm going to strive to not gossip and to be an overall better person. We all think that we don't need to change at some point, but that's when we really need to humble ourselves and turn to Heavenly Father, because none of us are perfect. The only righteous people in the world right now are those who are REPENTING. We all have things that we need to repent for and strive to change before we can be back in the presence of our Heavenly Father. 

And that's my spiritual thought of the day! Hahaha.

and now I'm at my missionary's house watching a movie with his sister and it's almost midnight so I'm finishing this on my phone and the formatting must be awful and stuff. Also Max is here and that makes me super happy but I'll blog about it later :)
